Design is a vital part of Xumos concept. Look, finish, choice of material, user-friendliness, and correlation with technique are questions that our chief designer Bengt Ek works with everyday so that his experience and knowledge in design ends in the hands of the user.

Bengt Ek’s timeless design has always been praised and appreciated; the products have been exhibited during longer exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, San Francisco and Tokyo According to Bengt Ek, designing products that are timeless and fit into everyday life beautifully as well as functionally the trick is to be involved the whole production life of the product, from the idea-sketch-production and then finally selling the product. Talent is something one is born with and inspiration is found in everyday life.

Travel is a key for inspiration. It is very important to experience and see what is out there on the markets, all too often people don’t look outside their own borders and therefore miss out on many inspirations as well as knowledge of what already exists within the market.
